Tone Loc Accused of Owing $40,000 in Back Child Support
Tone Loc has been accused of owing the mother of his child thousands of dollars in back child payments, according to TMZ.
Eilise Sharkey has filed court documents alleging that Tone has fallen way behind in his payments to her. She alleges that Tone now owes her $40,512.
The payments have been accruing since a child support order was served in October 2011, which ordered Tone to pay Sharkey $3,376 per month for their son.
According to the court documents Sharkey is claiming that Tone is paid $5,000 per show, and that "he has several shows a month," and so should not be struggling to make his payments for their son.
Tone Loc is best known for his deep voice and his million-selling hit singles, "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina." Loc is also a voice actor, having voiced characters in several cartoon series.
In December 2010, Loc was arrested for DUI. He was released on bail claiming a medical condition caused a seizure.
On June 18, 2011, Tone Loc was arrested for felony domestic violence and possession of a Colt AR-15 Sporter rifle (prohibited by California law) after an altercation with the mother of his child. He was released less than three hours later after posting $50,000 bail. On October 3, 2011, he entered a plea of no contest to both charges, and was sentenced to one day in county jail, three years of probation, 52 weeks of anger management counseling and 30 days of community service.
