Aniston, Cox Vacation: Former 'Friends' Co-Stars in Mexico to Ring in New Year

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox were photographed bonding on a vacation in Mexico where they are expected to ring in the New Year on Tuesday.

The former "Friends" costars, who also happen to be long time pals, are staying on the same resort in Cabo San Lucas with a number friends. Aniston, 44, and her fiancé Justin Theroux, 42, arrived in Mexico on Friday.

"[They looked] happy, relaxed and looking forward to their break," a source told E! News of Aniston and Theroux.

Also spotted enjoying the sun in Mexico was Howard Stern and his wife Beth as well as Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney. Cox, 49, is believed to be dating Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid, but it is unclear whether he is also on vacation with the group.

Aniston, who got engaged to Theroux in 2012, often travels to Mexico each year to ring in the New Year with friends.

The "We're The Millers" actress has been forced to spend extended time away from Theroux in recent months due to work commitments and this year's New Year's Eve vacation is reportedly intended to bring them closer together and put the spark back in their romance.

"Jen and Justin love each other, they are fully committed. they had hoped to be married by now but work commitments this year meant their plans went astray," a source told Daily Mail UK.

Theroux has been based in New York where he is working on the upcoming HBO comedy "The Leftovers." Aniston has been based in Los Angeles, where she and Theroux purchased a home together, filming "Horrible Bosses 2" and "Miss You Already."

"They have had some counseling. They both regret not spending more time together this year and they're determined that next year will be different," the insider explained.

In November Aniston was photographed spending Thanksgiving with friends including British rocker Ed Sheeran, however it remains unclear as to whether Theroux was present.

While there have been doubts amongst critics as to whether the wedding will actually occur, sources insist that the couple is intent on walking down the aisle soon.

"Jen and Justin are looking at it like it's a party for their friends. They've downgraded the scale of their wedding," a source revealed.

"Justin is adamant it will happen in 2014 but that it will be more 'spontaneous and organic ' than they'd previously wanted," the source explained.

Prior to Theroux, Aniston was married to Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and they divorced in 2005. She previously gushed about Theroux while promoting her film "We're The Millers."

"We already feel married … We're really just happy and in love," she said.
