Apple's Black Friday 2011 Sale to Feature $101 Off Macbooks, $61 Off iPads
Will Other Retailers, Like Best Buy and Amazon, Offer Better Deals on Apple Products?
In an email sent to subscribers this week, Apple, Inc. announced a special one-day Apple shopping event to take place in stores and online on Black Friday, the big shopping day after Thanksgiving.
Apple announced in the email and in a notice on its website that shoppers will "discover amazing iPad, iPod, and Mac gifts for everyone on your list."
Since the Black Friday 2011 sale was announced, observers have been speculating on what deals and discounts the computer giant might offer.

Popular blog 9to5mac.com has managed to get the lowdown on the Apple sale from "a trusted tipster."
According to the website, the tipster revealed that: "The deals on the Mac end cover the iMac, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, while the iPod nano and iPod touch are the discounted iPod offerings."
The laptops will be discounted by $101, while the iPads will be discounted between $41 and $61, the website reports. Scans of the brochure showing Apple's Black Friday 2011 sale prices were also published on 9to5mac.com.
Some observers were not very excited about the teased Black Friday deals, as Apple has offered similar discounts in the past which have been less than phenomenal.
ZDNet's Jason D. O'Grady, who describes himself as a "Mac guy," is definitely not expecting anything special from Apple's sale this year.
"It’s simple really: Apple’s products are so popular that it doesn’t have to discount them," O'Grady wrote.
Others expect that Best Buy and Amazon will offer better discounts on Apple products when Black Friday rolls around. Incidentally, Best Buy has already started in on some of its Black Friday 2011 offerings, with discounts on Wii console bundles, tablets and PCs as featured in its specal online sale section.
Apple's special one-day Black Friday event will be available to online shoppers worldwide.
