Gia's mother announced that "after much consideration by family members to privacy and capacity issues, both days will be open with the intention to welcome family and friends from near and far," according to a press release issued by Gia's rep Penelope Jean.

The tragic death of the reality star on August 14, 2013, two days after she attempted suicide, shocked her friends from the Bachelor and Bachelor Pad, and they gathered on Saturday in New Orleans to remember the young woman.

According to a statement from her family, Allemand was taken off of life support "due to a critical loss of brain and organ function."

Furthermore, the family said that Allemand, who was a Christian, was taken off of life support only after having received the sacrament of last rites.

As further proof of her faith, the model took to Twitter with a Bible excerpt from Proverbs just one day before being admitted into the hospital.

"Proverbs 21: 3 'Doing what is right and fair pleases The Lord more than an offering,'" wrote the reality television star on Sunday, Aug. 11.
