Jennifer Aniston Wedding Pressure Pushed Justin Theroux Away? Actor 'Got Cold Feet'

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux fueled split rumors last week when the actress celebrated her birthday without her fiance and a new report claims that the couple have indefinitely placed their wedding on hold.

The Hollywood couple has been living apart since last year despite having purchased a Bel Air mansion together. On Feb. 11 Aniston celebrated her 45th birthday with close friends in Los Angeles however Theroux, 42, opted instead to party with friends in New York which raised doubts about their engagement.

"It's absolutely indicative of the status of Jen and Justin's relationship," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"There is absolutely no wedding talk or planning going on," the insider continued. "Publicly the couple is saying it's because they are just too busy with work, but if they wanted to get married, it would happen."

Aniston began dating her "Wanderlust" co-star in 2011 and one year later, the actor proposed. The former "Friends" actress previously denied reports claiming she and Theroux had postponed their wedding, however, sources maintain that things are currently rocky.

"The relationship is definitely at an impasse ... Either it's going to fizzle out, which seems likely, or they get married," an insider explained. "Jen is extremely insecure and very needy. Justin is the opposite, very laid back and low maintenance."

In December the couple vacationed in Mexico and while they appeared to be happier than ever in photos which surfaced online, some claim they continue to grow apart.

Theroux is currently living in New York where he is filming his upcoming series "The Leftovers" while Aniston, who was once married to actor Brad Pitt, is living in California.

"Justin was crazy about Jen during the first year they were together but shortly after he proposed, he got cold feet," another source said.

"Her constant nagging over getting married and having children made things worse," the source continued. "He realized he enjoyed being away from Jen more than being with her but he didn't have the courage to break off the engagement."
