Justin Bieber Arrested News: Singer Thanks Hometown for Support Amid Legal Woes
Justin Bieber is thankful that his hometown is supporting him amid recent media scrutiny.
Bieber, the 19-year-old Canadian crooner, returned to his home country where he was accused of assaulting a limousine driver last December. Still, the mayor of his Stratford hometown is standing by the singer.
"No matter what happens, it doesn't negate the fact that Justin is from Stratford," Mayor Dan Mathieson of Stratford said in The London Free Press report recently. "As far as I'm concerned, he is a 19-year-old person who has made some errors. I don't condone them, but I also understand that we all have made errors in our life. I hope for his sake that he can get a reset, and get back to music and doing what he loves."

Bieber also received some advice from the mayor of his hometown.
"Stay true to the family and friends who have been there from the start..and lie low for a bit," Mathieson said. "There are some sad people out there taking great joy in another person's challenges, and I find that to be very disheartening. He is a celebrity, but he is entitled to some form of normalcy in his life."
Although Bieber was released from Toronto law enforcement custody after turning himself in, the news follows reports that the Canadian singer was arrested in Miami last week for a DUI. Aside from his recent arrest, Bieber has been scrutinized after being accused of egging his neighbor's home which could lead to legal trouble, along with other aggressive behavior.
During his turbulent times, it seems Bieber is thankful for his hometown support.
"Never forget where you come from or those who supported you before anyone else," he tweeted along with The London Free Press Article about his mayor's support. "Still the small town kid. thanks."
