Kanye West Reveals One Regret: 'I Wish My Mother Could've Met My Daughter'

Kanye West recently revealed his number one regret during a concert in Connecticut over the weekend.

The outspoken rapper, 36, has consistently made headlines in recent months over a number of controversial statements, but the criticism does not bother him. One thing that West does regret is the loss of his mother, Dr. Donda West.

"These past ten years have been amazing ... There's been some ups and downs. I made some mistakes and I've made some accomplishments," West told the crowd according to the Daily Mirror U.K.

"There's only one thing I regret. There's only one thing I wish I could change out of everything that's ever happened," he continued. "I wish that my mother could've met my daughter."

West, who welcomed the birth of his first child North West in June, lost his Mother in 2007 following complications with a plastic surgery procedure. While the "New Slaves" rapper is said to be in a much better place today, he admittedly struggled with her passing for some time.

"'There were times [after my mom's death], I would put my life at risk. I didn't have something to live for," West told Kris Jenner last year on her now canceled talk show. "Now I have two very special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."

The hip-hop mogul is now engaged to the mother of his child Kim Kardashian and the couple is set to wed in Paris during the summer. The pair are in the midst of wedding planning and the E! star is reportedly growing concerned about her fiancé's extreme ideas.

"It's just insane ... Kanye has basically billed it as … breaking the boundaries of what to expect when it comes to a wedding," a source told Heat magazine U.K.

"This will be the event of the year," the insider continued. "Think fashion runway, stage show performance. Think avant garde. Think nothing like you've ever seen."

West proposed to the reality TV star in October on her 33rd birthday.
