N'SYNC Reunion Rumored for MTV Video Music Awards - Group to Perform Medley of Hits

Justin Timberlake and the rest of his former group-mates from N'SYNC could be reuniting for the first time since their disbanding in 2002 at the MTV Video Music Awards.

According to the New York Post an unnamed source said Timberlake and company will be getting together at the Barclay's Center Sunday night for the celebration of JT getting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for his "pioneering and innovative impact" to music videos over the years.

The report claims the group will be performing a medley of their hits from the 90s.

Perhaps the reunion was sparked by J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick being spotted in the VIP section of Timberlake's concert with Jay Z last week.

"I don't think we're doing anything. I don't think [a reunion] would happen. Everyone is doing their own thing," Bass said in an interview earlier this year on the prospects of the group getting back together. "Justin's doing his thing. I don't think he would have a moment off to do an 'N Sync album. He's the busy one."

The "Mirrors" singer is nominated for six awards including Video of the Year, and once one Pop Video of the Year for "Cry Me a River" in 2003.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are tied with Timberlake for six nominations, and at the moment Timberlake is tied with Madonna for most VMA wins with 14, including his work with N'SYNC.

According to Billboard, the singer will be releasing his follow-up to The 20/20 Experience on September 30.
