Spice Girls Olympics 2012, Will Girl Group Reunite? (VIDEO)

The Spice Girls left hoards of fans in awe and wanting more after performing for the first time in years at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday.

The British girl group, which originally formed in 1994, reunited for the first time in four years as Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice"), and Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice") arrived at the London stadium in multicolored taxis before putting on an action packed performance.

As fans sang along to the group's hit singles "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life," many flocked to social networking site Twitter to praise the group's performance and to weigh in on the possibility of a comeback tour.

The Spice Girls recently announced that a Spice Girls musical entitled "Viva Forever" will begin in London this fall and while none of the band members will be featured in the musical they all reportedly helped create the show.

Prior to their musical the Spice Girls had only reunited for the first time since the group split in 2001 during 2007 when their "Return of the Spice Girls" Europe-North America concert tour kicked off.

Tickets for their highly anticipated 47-show concert reportedly sold out in just 38 seconds and grossed an estimated total of $70 million, according to Billboard.com.

While the Spice Girls has not made any mention of a follow up reunion tour, dedicated fans continue to encourage the idea.
