Terrell Owens Talking With a 'Bunch of Teams' About NFL Return?

Terrell Owens, the 39-year-old NFL free agent, is talking to a number of teams about making a return to the professional field this year.

Owens, a wide receiver, has not played in the NFL since 2010. Since then, he has been vocal about wanting another opportunity to get back into the game.

Jordan Woy, Owens' agent, said his client has had conversations with "a bunch of teams," according to ESPN reports.

"I know if he goes out there and gets a shot, he'll make a team," Woy said in an ESPN report. "We've talked to a lot of teams that have said he's a great talent, we're set as of right now, but if we have injuries, we may reach back out."

Earlier this year, Owens spoke about the possibility of hanging up his helmet for good.

"If I play this year, that'd be awesome," Owens told CBS recently. "If I don't play this year, I'm retiring ... That's just me being realistic."

Owens said he still believes in his abilities, but said he has to be honest with himself.

"I want to play again. I want to go out on top with a team," he told CBS. "I think I can still play, but if I don't sign with a team, it would be time to retire. I have to be honest with myself."

Owens holds records in the NFL, holding down the position as second all time in receiving yards and third in receiving touchdowns. Although he was sidelined by an injury in 2010 after playing with the Cincinnati Bengals, the wideout signed with the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.

Last season, he was given the opportunity to sign with the Seattle Seahawks but was released before the close of the 2012 season. Owens insisted that despite his age, he still has a lot to offer any team in an interview with The Christian Post last year.

"To all the critics, when you talk about age that may apply to many but not me," Owens told CP.
