Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game Trailer Released, Set for 2014 Release (VIDEO)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is coming to every major console May 2014, and now some of the first images have been revealed as well in a trailer.
The announcement was made at Comic Con yesterday morning and is being heralded as the most life like version of the web crawler, and will even have a more realistic web-swinging system according to La Press.
"We're giving gamers more abilities, more upgrades, more challenges, and more freedom to progress," Beenox studio co-head Thomas Wilson said. "And with the game launching alongside the new movie, offering an expanded interactive experience beyond the film, fans of the franchise won't want to miss playing it."
The game will be a tie-in with the upcoming movie, but it will not follow the storyline. It will instead follow a new story that includes all classic characters from the franchise.
"This game is a sequel to the first game " said Marvel's Chris Baker to Polygon. "Think of it in terms of the first movie happened and that established our game world. The first game happened, which was an extension to the first film. From then forward the movies are going their way and the games are going their way."
He continued, "However, we are going to take some key moments that happen in the second film and adapt them for the game."
According to Polygon, the gamers will be able to play as Peter Parker in a sort of investigative game style of play. There will also be a "Hero or Menace" system where you will be rewarded for your good deeds or receive negative consequences for leaving crimes alone.
The game will be available for Playstation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, and PC.
