iPhone 5 Release Date: Sam's Club Begins to Take Pre-Orders for iPhone 4S

For Apple fans not able to purchase a pre-order for the iPhone 4S due to the extremely high demand, there is still hope.

Wal-Mart’s warehouse club chain Sam’s Club is now offering pre-orders for the new Apple smartphone alerting customers yesterday that they can now begin reserving the device at its locations.

“iPhone 4S will be available for pre-order at most Sam’s Club locations beginning at 10:00a.m.on October 11th on a first-come, first-served basis. Available for purchase on October 14 while supplies last,” announced Sam's Club.

The iPhone 4S will not be available at every Sam’s Club location.

Customers looking to pre-order the smartphone at their local Sam’s Club should check the Sam’s Club iPhone database to determine which store will offer the device for their carrier of choice.

The chain is also not offering a discount on the iPhone 4S, but it could be the last chance for customers looking to get their hands on the new handset on its launch day.

Apple has announced that it received over 1 million pre-orders for the iPhone 4S, completely selling out of its initial stock in less than 24 hours.

Other retail giants such as, Best Buy, Radioshack, Target and Wal-Mart will also carry the iPhone 4S.

Apple’s new smartphone was unveiled last week at the company’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event in Cupertino, California.

Pre-orders for the device started on Oct. 7.

Based on reservations alone, the iPhone 4S has already broken records and outdone all past iPhone models in terms of sales.

Apple’s former CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs passed away the day after the iPhone 4S unveiling.

At first, the new smartphone disappointed Apple fans expecting a drastically re-designed iPhone 5, but with the handset creator’s death, customers seem to be paying tribute to the late tech innovator by staying loyal and purchasing the iPhone 4S.
