Lindsay Lohan: Mom Writes Book on Daughter's Troubles
Lindsay Lohan's mom and manager, Dina, has written a book revealing the young star's drug and alcohol abuse, as she collapses under the pressures of fame.
Tabloid site TMZ received a copy of the manuscript and reported that the prologue offered an explanation of what Dina thinks happened to her daughter.
"I blamed her friends, her career and her handlers for an (sic) newfound lifestyle of partying excessively. Drinking, drugging and behaving irresponsibly became Lindsay's way of daily living--and it tore me up inside," it said.
The book also contained a section where Dina was remorseful for exposing her daughter to Hollywood at such a young age.
"How could I deny my daughter the chance of a lifetime? How could I hold Lindsay back from her dream of becoming an actress? So, I listened to others and sent my daughter to Hollywood with a few pieces of luggage and a chaperone," she said.
Dina said that she felt helpless because Lindsay was an adult and she could not control her or have her move back to New York.
TMZ reported that Dina and her reps were brainstorming on how to make the book a best seller. Other sources told the website that a ghostwriter actually wrote the prologue.
Lindsay's court problems have been documented very publicly and she is currently enthralled in problems right now.
Just one day after actress Lindsay Lohan had her probation revoked and she posted $100,000 bail, she has missed her first day of community service at the L.A. County Morgue today.
Lohan's publicist released a statement saying, "Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow.”
“Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue. They showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up," she added.
Upon Lohan showing up, she was turned away from the morgue for being late.
The actress was supposed to be at the morgue at 8:00 a.m. PT, and at 7:40 a.m. PT her publicist called to say she'd be there in 10 minutes.
When Lohan never showed, the volunteer officials notified judge Stephanie Sautner of her tardiness.
Lohan recently took to her Twitter saying, "With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I've never been so happy to go to therapy!!! Also, I'm sorry for the confusion that I may of (sic) caused to those at the Coroner's office. Won't happen again, now I know where to go!"
