PlayStation 4 Rumors: Full 1080p HD PSOne and PS2 Emulation Could be Coming to PS4 Soon

PSOne and PS2 emulation may be on its way to the PlayStation 4 after an often correct Sony info leaker posted a few tweets concerning the manner yesterday.

PlayStation 4 enabling emulation will allow fans of the Sony console to play some of their favorite classic games from the '90s and on, as well as open up a new wave of gaming. However, this info has not been confirmed by Sony, so gamers are left only with this rumor.

In the mean time, Sony is struggling to meet demands for their PS4 console.

Sony division head Andrew House touted PS4's impressive sales, but with that great total comes the chance of consoles not being available. "We're struggling to keep up with demand," House said to Screw Attack. "Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we'll be closer to a full supply situation."

The Wall Street Journal reported that PS4's are being sold as quick as they come in at retailers such as GameStop.

A few weeks ago, Sony admitted their availability would be going down even further because of the release of the console to other regions.

"I can't work [the math] out precisely," said PlayStation U.K. executive Fergal Gara according to the Christian Post. "But based on what I've seen so far, I think it is going to be [hard to find a console] until around about April. You might get a fortnight or a week here or there where it is more available, but we should be back to free supply by about April ... That's our best guess. It might be a little earlier than that, or it might be a little later. But we'll get there."

Sony also recently announced the console reached their goal of selling over 5 million units by the end of the fiscal year, and are already over 6 million.

These great sales numbers were in spite of the console not being available in Japan until last month.
