'Real Housewives' Melissa Gorga 'Excited' About New Book Deal
"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Melissa Gorga has landed herself a book deal, it has been confirmed.
The controversial reality TV star, who has previously denied claims that she copies her co-star and sister-in-law Teresa Giudice, appears to be following in her footsteps. Her new book, however, will not be about cooking and instead it will center around her 8-year marriage to Giudice's brother Joe, according to Us Magazine.
"I'm so excited for my new book! I've been writing every night! You are gonna love this;.)" Gorga tweeted December 19.
St. Martin's Press will reportedly publish the upcoming book entitled "Love, Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage." It is still unclear when exactly the book will be available, but Gorga insists to Us magazine that it will offer readers "practical strategies on how to strengthen their marriage, amp up the passion, and the secrets that make my marriage as sexy and hot as it is warm and loving."
"I can't tell you how many times Joe and I are approached by fans asking how they can have a marriage like ours," Gorga said. "A great marriage doesn't just happen. It's a job."
The book deal will likely be a cause for celebration for the 36-year-old mother of three, particularly since enduring what appears to have been a challenging year for the aspiring singer.
In October, Gorga's criminal history was exposed more than a decade after she was allegedly arrested for shoplifting. Fans of the hit Bravo reality show were even more stunned when RadarOnline.com revealed at the time that there was still a warrant out for her arrest.
Prior to the shoplifting saga Gorga's ongoing feud with Giudice, 40, reached new heights when various sources claimed that Gorga once worked as an exotic dancer at a strip club. Gorga vehemently denied the stripper claims and even blamed Giudice, a veteran housewife, for allegedly setting her up on the show.
During the season four finale episode, Gorga accused Giudice of plotting with outsiders to embarrass her at a fashion show. Giudice allegedly asked Angelo Vrohidis- a former manager of a gentleman's club- to expose Gorga's past, although Giudice has since denied that claim.
The controversy has not stopped there. In June, it was revealed that the Gorgas put both their family home, located in Montville Township, N.J. and their Toms River vacation home up for sale. Radar reported that they did so to ease mounting debts.
"Melissa and Joe are in way over their heads. Joe owes a lot of people money. They have the house on the market because they can't pay the mortgage now that the interest rate on it has exploded," a source close to the couple reportedly told Radar Online.
"They are portraying a life they that they really didn't live prior to the show. Melissa likes to drop name brands now and has become very arrogant. Joe loves the fact that Joe Giudice has financial issues, yet he's in the same boat!" the insider added.
