Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date Confirmed for the End of May in Europe
Samsung finally unveiled the long awaited Galaxy S3 smartphone today at the company's "Mobile Unpacked" event that took place in London, England.
The company confirmed the device will begin rolling out at the end of this month in Europe.
It also confirmed the specifications for the device in a press release earlier today.

"This sleek and innovative smartphone has the enhanced intelligence to make everyday life easier," wrote Samsung. With Samsung GALAXY S III, you can view the content like never before on the device's 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display."
The display can also enhance to a 16:9 ratio allowing users to have wider viewing angles while watching video on the smartphone.
"An 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front camera offer users a variety of intelligent camera features and face recognition related options that ensure all moments are captured easily and instantly," added the company. Samsung GALAXY S III is powered by Android™ 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, with greatly enhanced usability and practicality to make life easier."
The device also packs its very own voice recognition system known as S Voice.
"The GALAXY S III features 'S Voice,' the advanced natural language user interface, to listen and respond to your words," said Samsung. "In addition to allowing information search and basic device-user communication, S Voice presents powerful functions in regards to device control and commands."
The Samsung Galaxy S3 will come in two colors at its launch: Pebble Blue and Marble White.
Samsung promises to introduce a variety of different color options in the near future as well.
The Galaxy S3 will also feature NFC (near-field-communications) technology and will upgrade the Galaxy Nexus Android Beam feature into S Beam.
"With the new 'S Beam,' the GALAXY S III expands upon Android™ Beam™, allowing a 1GB movie file to be shared within three minutes and a 10MB music file within two seconds by simply touching another GALAXY S III phone, even without a Wi-Fi or cellular signal," said Samsung.
And as previously stated by Samsung, the Galaxy S3 will feature and Exynos 1.4GHz quad-core processor.
