Xbox One Football Commercials Don't Showcase Video Games (VIDEO)
The Xbox One's first big campaign will be through football as they look to showcase the console's ability to integrate with the NFL showing live games.
Microsoft released their first ad to YouTube and television on Thursday, in a football-themed commercial. In it were all the aforementioned features plus looks into how it interacts with Fantasy Football and the ability to make highlights from different games.

The commercial was a certainly marketing savvy as the ad ran during the first football game of the year, however, what it failed to show what it is first and foremost, a video game console.
Microsoft appears to be confused as to what they actually are, and time and time again are failing to showcase all the things that make it great in a short concise manner.
After weeks of silence, Xbox One finally unveiled their launch date as Nov. 22 last week.
"We're now in a position to share that Xbox One will be available on Nov. 22, 2013 in all 13 of our initial launch markets – Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA. Many more markets will follow in 2014," wrote Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and and Business, on the Xbox wire blog.
Also in the announcement the executive confirmed that the console's CPU was boosted from 1.6 GHz to 1.75 GHz. In addition, more Xbox One Day edition bundles with FIFA 14 will be available.
"November 22 is a special day in Xbox history – on this day, we first launched Xbox 360 in 2005," read the blog post. "Our next chapter begins in 79 days, when Xbox One becomes available. We built Xbox One to bring you the best games, unrivaled multiplayer and more entertainment than ever before. It's nearly time to say 'Xbox On' and open a new world of games and entertainment."
