Baby Lisa Irwin Missing: Handyman's Ex Says Police 'Made Up Stories'

The woman whose cell phone was confiscated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the missing baby Lisa case said police lied to her and fabricated story lines.

Megan Wright received a mysterious call from one of the stolen phones from the Irwin household. However, Wright claimed she did not answer the call, as there are a number of other adults living in the same house and the cellphone was not with her at the time.

Speaking to Ron Rugen, a private investigator from Kansas City, Wright shared she was questioned by the Kansas City Police Department for over six hours on Oct. 8, which is four days after Lisa was reported missing.

According to the Examiner, Wright explained police made up a story about Deborah Bradley, the mother of Lisa Irwin, having Wright’s phone number written on the palm of her hand.

"In that time, I was told by the detective that Deborah had shown her palm to another detective with my phone number written on it. He didn't say if she got out a pen and wrote it in front of him, or just showed it to him,” said Wright. “What ever the case, this turned out to be false. I have been cooperating with several individuals who have been closely involved with the case conducting their own investigations and I was told that they spoke to the police officer and found out that this was made up."

"From the beginning the police thought it was crazy for a 20 year old young woman to drop her phone and not think about it for 6-12 hours at a time. The police had lied to me several times during my interrogation [I found out after the fact] to try to get me to change my story,” Wright added.

The woman was also linked to the case when her ex-boyfriend, known as the “Jersey” the handyman, was questioned over the disappearance.

Wright expressed her desire and full cooperation to help solve the mystery surrounding missing baby Lisa.
