10 Crazy Things That Happened on Trump's Inauguration Weekend
1. The Leg Thrill Is Gone
The leg thrill is gone for MSNBC personality and best-selling author Chris Matthews who called Donald Trump's inauguration speech "Hitlerian."
(Apologies to the late, great BB King.)
The reaction was quite a change from 2008 when Matthews said he "felt this thrill going up my leg" after listening to Barack Obama speak.
"When he said today 'America First,' it was not just the racial — I mean, I shouldn't say racial, the Hitlerian background to it, but it was the message I kept thinking," said Matthews on Friday.
"What if you're Putin? You're probably pounding the table saying, 'That's what I've been saying, Russia first! Russia first!'"
Matthews also talked about Trump having his Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as part of his cabinet, appearing to advise the new president about executing him if necessary.
"It's hard to fire your son-in-law, that's the tricky part. Although Mussolini had a great solution to that. He had them executed," claimed Matthews.
